The Crusade marches on in Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls, which is set to see the release of a new character class—the Crusader. Clad in armor and wielding a shield, the Crusader is a devout warrior who fights against the burning legions of hell by staying true to his Zakarum faith. Which is to say, he beats the living hell out of them.
Today, Blizzard has released an official gameplay trailer (courtesy of IGN) introducing the Crusader and his origins. Narrated by the voice of Tyrael, the Archangel of Justice, the trailer showcases portions of the game’s new fifth act while displaying the battle prowess of the Crusader.
Although the trailer doesn’t state it, the Crusader—like all previous classes in the game—is playable as both male and female, so you won’t have to play a beefy dude voiced by Gideon Emery if you don’t want to.
Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls is out for the PC/Mac on March 25. That’s just two weeks away, Diabros.
