Treyarch has finally released a Title Update for Call of Duty Ghosts for the Wii U, after three months of waiting.
Getting the update requires a full restart of the game. Noteworthily, they snuck in free multiplayer map Free Fall along with it, giving this version parity with other platforms.
It also comes with a long awaited load of game fixes, including stability fixes to the Squad Reports Screen, a bots crash fix, and overall improved functionality.
Other fixes were done to several unconnected issues. One Wii U-exclusive concern ensured the scoreboard reloaded on the Gamepad automatically after changing loadouts. Other fixes were doled out to various glitches caused by gameplay and menu switching, etc.
It’s not quite clear why Treyarch or Activision did not confirm Free Fall was coming to Wii U for so long, when players were clamoring for a response this whole time. Neither have they cleared up why a patch was a longtime coming. Still, for those Wii U owners who are COD loyal, this remains welcome news, and reaffirms Activision’s commitment to supporting Nintendo loyalists no matter what others say.
