To mark the release of Killzone: Shadow Fall's first Free Map DLC on March 4th, Guerrilla has announced that the game's multiplayer will be available free of charge to all PS4 owners.
In the week running up to Titanfall's release, Shadow Fall's multiplayer will be available freelyfrom March 4th at 5am PST. On the game's official website, Guerrilla wrote:
"That’s not all — for this free multiplayer access week, we are prepping special Warzones for you to play the just the new maps, and compete on global leaderboards for Capture and Team Deathmatch game modes. All clans, including trial players, will be eligible for prizes in the Clan Community Challenge."
The Clan Community Challenges will be announced on Killzone.com. The multiplayer will be free to download and won't require a PlayStation Plus subscription which is normally required for online play on PS4.
Killzone's free multiplayer trial will run from March 4th to March 11th, the day Titanfall is set for release in North America. Sony announced that 2.1 million copies of Shadow Fall had been sold as of January 15th.
