Mario Kart 8’s Retro Tracks Compared Head-to-Head

February 25, 2014 by Stephen Daly

Four Mario Kart 8 tracks pitted head-to-head against their earlier counterparts.

GameXplain has produced a new video which compares Mario Kart 8's Retro tracks graphics to those from Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Mario Kart DS, Mario Kart Wii, and Mario Kart DS.

The trailer, which you can see below, was created in the GBA, DS, Wii, and 3DS versions of the game to examine the differences between the different games and platforms. The tracks compared in question are Mario Circuit, Tick Tock Clock, DK Jungle, and Grumble Volcano. You can also check out a comarison video pitting the tracks graphics of Mario Kart 8 against MK7 and Double Dash.

Last week, Mario Kart 8's Newegg product description stated that the game has a track editor which would be a series first but this has yet to be confirmed by Nintendo.

Mario Kart 8 is set for release on May 30th.
