If you enjoy science fiction and space then we got some great games well worth checking out this year. 2020 saw some big hits already from sequels, remakes, reboots, and even new IPs. However, if you’re after some games that are based in space or not of this world then we check out some of these games that are slated to release this year. No list is definitive so if you don’t see a game that’s worth adding into the mix, let us and others know about it by leaving a comment below.

#10 Beyond Good And Evil 2

Beyond Good & Evil first hit the market back in 2003 and it easily left gamers itching for a sequel, but since its release, that fabled sequel has been under wraps. That was until 2017 when Beyond Good & Evil 2 was revealed, though unfortunately for those looking to continue on with the first narrative, this next title is actually a prequel.

We know that the game will follow our protagonist from a struggling pirate to a captain of a massive star-faring vessel. If this upcoming Beyond Good & Evil 2 is anything like the first title in the series then we can expect some entertaining narrative full of adventure. Likewise, this will be an open-world video game but it’s uncertain how active the in-game world will be or if there are events available to take part in when you’re freely exploring. Ubisoft has been keeping a tight lid on this game so we’re waiting on information to come out. Unfortunately, at this point, we’re likely not going to see Beyond Good And Evil 2 hit the marketplace this year but it would feel amiss if we didn’t mention it here.

#9 Dual Universe

This is an upcoming title that we’ve been waiting for its release over the past couple of years. Overall, Dual Universe seems to be quite ambitious and even said to combine elements from Minecraft, No Man’s Sky, Eve Online, Star Citizen, and Space Engineers. Players will share a massive single universe with the ability to edit game worlds by adding structures, altering terrain, along with creating ship scripts and constructs. Dual Universe will also focus on collective gameplay with gamers exploring, mining, trading, crafting, and creating in-game politics. Unfortunately, much like Beyond Good And Evil 2 on this list, we’re not sure if we’ll get this game before 2021 hits.
