Dying Light is a game in which the zombies become much more of a threat by night than by day Techland has released a new trailer to make this fact clear with dramatic effect.
The video's tagline reads, "Kill or be killed, eat or be eaten, was the law; and this mandate, down out of the depths of Time, he obeyed," and it seems quite a bit of the game will revolve around the survivors of the zombie outbreaking turning increasingly desperate and acting accordingly.
On the PlayStation Blog, producer Tymon Smektala writes:
"With our latest Humanity trailer, we wanted to present a deeper vision of what a zombie epidemic would mean for humankind. “Epidemic” being the crucial word here. Mutating into a zombie is a result of infection, not some kind of a supernatural transformation, but simply a disease, just like flu, pneumonia, or SARS."
You can check out 12 minutes of gameplay here and Techland has also previously released trailers which focus on the day and night cycle in Dying Light and the graphical benefit's of playing the game on PS4 and Xbox One.
Dying Light combines the open world combat of Dead Island with the parkour of Mirror's Edge and is set for release on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One later this year.
