Reflections, the Ubisoft studio based in Newcastle, England, has joined forces with Sweden’s Massive Entertainment for Tom Clancy’s The Division.
The news was disclosed by Develop, which revealed that both teams are collaborating on the upcoming next-gen shooter slated for the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Reflections Managing Director Pauline Jacquey told the publication that “40 per cent” of the studio is working on The Division and that their contribution is bigger than their work in Watch_Dogs, Just Dance and Far Cry 3.
"We're working on all of the game's systems: main characters, enemies, RPG pillars, building Manhattan, online components, and so on," she said.
"It gives us a very broad and wide input on the game, but it's not as limited as the naval battles on Assassin's Creed III."
Jacquey said that the studio has been working on The Division for a few months already, and that their collaboration with Massive Entertainment came from a desire to work together rather than instructions from their heads at Ubisoft.
