Fans can watch dozens of MLB games on their new consoles with the MLB.TV application coming to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later this spring (via Polygon).
MLB.TV subscribers can gain access to every out-of-market game with a subscription that also continues to mobile devices, PCs and tablets. Since MLB.TV only grants access to out-of-market broadcasts, viewers can't watch home broadcasts of their city's team.
Viewers who purchase MLB.TV to watch on their Xbox One consoles require an Xbox Live Gold subscription, much like the Xbox 360. The PlayStation 4 won't lock MLB.TV behind a pay wall, a feature consistent with free-to-play games.
Other services started migrating over to the new consoles such as HBO's HBO GO application coming to the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. Subscribers can watch their favourite HBO shows through their cable subscription on the PlayStation 3 now and PlayStation 4 at a later date.
