Cyberpunk 2077 Has Been Delayed Once Again

June 18, 2020 by Dennis Patrick

Another delay hits Cyberpunk 2077.

Looks like we are going to see Cyberpunk 2077 miss it’s intended release date this September. One of the most hyped-up video game titles slated to launch into the market this year seemed to be confirmed for a release in September after its initial release date delay. The game was highly anticipated and while CD Projekt Red had confirmed in the past that nothing was delaying the game, the official Twitter account had alerted the world that the game would in fact get pushed back.

It’s going to be a few more months of waiting as the release date has been delayed from September 17, 2020, to November 19, 2020. This is all due to the development studio needing more time to iron out any bugs or mechanical issues they’ll come across between now and the release date. With that said, there’s nothing left to do in order for the game to be complete.

According to the official Twitter post, the game has been completed with all the quests, locations, assets, and cutscenes intact. You could play this game fully from start to finish, but being such a complex and massive game, it’s going to take some time to find all the bugs and issues that will pop up due to mechanics being an interweaving system. Still, CD Projekt Red hopes that you can understand as the game is something that they are working incredibly hard on.

At the end of the day, the development team is sticking to their promise in that the game will be ready when it’s ready. What that means is getting the game out into the market as a polished finished piece rather than a game that will need a series of patches before its able to run as intended by the development team.

For now, you can mark your calendars once again for November 19, 2020, for Cyberpunk 2077 release on the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One platforms.
