We have a rundown on the different rumored release dates for some upcoming Xbox One games. Take all of these with a grain of salt, but don’t tell us you’re not curious.
· Halo 2 Anniversary on November 2014.
Halo 2 was originally released for the first Xbox as far back as 2004, and the last actual revision was released for Windows Vista in 2007. Expectations would be that the game would get some upresolution, as well as the same online multiplayer component. If true, this might come with a beta for the next game below.
· Halo 5 on 2015.
Announced just last year, information on this one is sparse, although they had a trailer with what appeared to be a post-Halo 4 Master Chief. This new game will be part of the Reclaimer story, and is not to be a spin-off.
· Crackdown 3 on Q1 2016.
Previous installments of Crackdown where developed by Ruffian Games and Realtime Worlds. Essentially 3rd person shooters in open worlds, the franchise was conceived by David Jones and has proven popular, so there’s no reason to believe this will not be the same.
· Quantum Break on Fall 2014.
From what we know now, this game will be a 3rd person cover-based shooter, with time manipulation elements. The game is being made by Remedy Entertainment and is coming with a TV show.
· Fable Legends on Summer 2015.
Expectations are high on Lionhead Studios’ next Fable game, the 1st one conceived without its creator, Peter Molyneux. You will be able to play as one of four heroes playing against a fifth, designated as the game villain.
· Forza Horizon 2 on Fall 2014, possibly September.
The last Forza Horizon was released just two years ago and developed by Playground Games. Did Turn 10 give over development duties to another 3rd party while making Forza Motorsport 5? Will this one have more of those dreaded microtransactions? We’ll find out soon enough.
