Fallout 4: Bethesda Hiring for “Bleeding-Edge” RPG Games on PC and New Consoles

January 17, 2014 by Stephen Daly

Fallout and Elder Scrolls developer seeking programmer and quest designer.

Bethesda is currently hiring for the “bleeding-edge of RPG development” on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Following reports last month from leaked casting documents which suggest Fallout 4 is in active development and will be set in Boston, Bethesda is seeking a game programmer and a quest designer.

On the game programmer listing the job's description reads:

"Bethesda Game Studios is looking for talented programmers to join our team that is pushing the bleeding-edge of RPG development for the PC and consoles."

While the quest designer listing notes:

“In this role the Quest Designer would be responsible for designing and documenting stories and quests for future next generation products.”

In addition, an executive producer is needed with a "comprehensive knowledge of Action/Adventure/Shooter product genres". The mention of "shooter" games suggests that Fallout is more likely than another Elder Scrolls game unless that series is to take a radically different direction with its next installment.

Do you think Bethesda are recruiting for Fallout 4 or are they working on something else?
