Fallout 76 Observant Radstags Will Lead You To Treasure

April 23, 2020 by Dennis Patrick

Observant Radstags are treasure hunters too.

Fallout 76 released back in 2018 and while it didn’t hit the strides that players had hoped, there is a new update to really change things around. At first, Fallout 76 didn’t have much of a story, it was simply a Wasteland that players can join together and build though after so long, it became rather stale. This prompted Bethesda to go back and deliver fans an update that would significantly change things around. As a result, we’re now able to enjoy the Wastelanders update that adds plenty of content to chew through.

With the Wastelanders update, players will find that the game is now filled with different NPCs you can interact with along with a storyline, something that was lacking in player’s eyes. Overall, the development studio may have filled the game with different characters and enemies, but you may want to ease up on the urge to slaughter everything you come across. In fact, we’re finding out that at least one particular creature in this game will help lead you to treasure.

Players are finding an animal known as the observant radstag which are random encounters within the game. Overall, players may find them and think nothing of the creature other than taking it out for resources it may possess. However, you will want to avoid killing them as these observant radstags can actually lead players to a hidden treasure cache.

Simply follow the observant radstag until you come across the hidden treasure to loot. This was at first thought to be a bug within the game, but the community managers within the Fallout 76 subreddit has since come out and confirmed that this is an actual random encounter you may find while playing through the game. If you have yet to pick up a copy of Fallout 76 with the Wastelanders update, we suggest looking at our Before You Buy episode down below.
