Square Enix may have failed in its bid to take over the MMORPG market with Final Fantasy XIV, but that isn't stopping the Japanese publisher from making yet another attempt to win online gamers over with a new game.

Square Enix chief Yoichi Wada announced the plan during a business conference call in Japan, saying that the company could be ready to talk about its new game at E3, two weeks from today.

Wada says that the company's plan is to operate three large MMORPGs at once, including Final Fantasy XI, Final Fantasy XIV, and a new, as-yet-unannounced title.

The studio is currently making an attempt to win back players it alienated during the disastrous launch of Final Fantasy XIV by extending the game's trial—or free—period indefinitely to both new and existing customers.
