The off-road racing series, MX vs. ATV, makes its return in 2014 as Nordic Games assembled a team that they feel can resurrect the franchise.
Nordic Games purchased the Darksiders, Red Faction and MX vs. ATV intellectual properties when THQ declared bankruptcy in early January. The team responsible for the development consists of team members who formerly worked on the MX vs. ATV games published by THQ.
The team plans to use the existing MX vs. ATV Alive and MX vs. ATV Reflex code to bring back familiar features.
"A lot of the original team members have been aching to continue their passion: building the most authentic off-road racing games possible. The hiatus is over, and the team is back to work on MX vs. ATV with great new things to come," Ken George, executive producer of MX vs. ATV Supercross, said in response to the 2014 release.
Nordic plans to reveal more details on MX vs. ATV Supercross in 2014.
