Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is the latest installment to the long running franchise and already with this latest installment, we’re getting a ton of new characters added into the roster. It seems that there is no stopping Nintendo from adding a wide assortment of characters from different gaming IPs and while we’re waiting for some of our favorites to be called into the fight, we do know that Nintendo has a new pack coming out soon.
Before Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was released, it was unveiled that every character from the past video game installments would be making their way into the game. What we didn’t know was the support Nintendo would offer the game after its launch. Since its release, there has been a new assortment of characters into the title for the first time ever. Some of the characters that have since been released into the game through DLC are Hero from Dragon Quest, Banjo & Kazooie along with Joker from Persona 5.
Today Nintendo has unveiled that a new character pack will be available for pre-purchase on January 28, 2020. This character pack will bring in 6 new characters overtime though all of the characters should be available before 2022. There is even an unlock for pre-purchasing the pack which is the Zelda: Breath of the Wild Ancient Soldier outfit which will be locked to those that opt for pre-purchasing the DLC.
Unfortunately, we don’t know what characters will be added into the game with this new pack so it’s a gamble if you do pre-purchase. At any rate, if you have yet to pick up a copy, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is available right now for the Nintendo Switch. You can even check out our thoughts on the game within our Before You Buy episode upload down below.
