Tomb Raider Announcement in December

November 20, 2013 by Andrea Castellano

Expect a new Tomb Raider announcement at the VGX show this December.

Amazon's Italian website listed a PlayStation 4 version of Tomb Raider called Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition. Amazon later removed the listing after a number of outlets reported the PS4 version, but that doesn't eliminate the existence of a next-gen release.

When IGN approached Square Enix about the Amazon Italy Tomb Raider listing, a Square Enix representative hinted at some sort of reveal at the upcoming VGX video game event.

"It’s so hard to keep a secret these days! We appreciate all of the enthusiasm, however we don’t have any details to share just yet. That said, we highly recommend you keep an eye on any major gaming events happening in early December."

It's unclear whether this announcement involves a brand new game or a rerelease of Tomb Raider and its entire multiplayer DLC packs. Square Enix already mentioned the next Tomb Raider is well into development, but its completion is still unknown.
