Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag Patch Adds 1080p Support

November 19, 2013 by Andrea Castellano

Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag patch adds native 1080p support.

Ubisoft released patch 1.03 for Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, which includes support for native 1080p resolution and other graphical fixes.

Last week Ubisoft explained that Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag on PlayStation 4 ran natively at 900p before upscaling to 1080p. The 1.03 patch now lets players run in native 1080p resolution for full high definition graphics. To understand the benefit of a 1080p resolution, you can compare these 900p and 1080p screenshots.

You may not notice the difference playing either version alone, but a sharper, more detailed image comes from the 1080p versions, especially when looking at things in the background.

Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag is now available on Xbox 360, PS3, PS4, Wii U and PC.
