If you just so happened to have picked up Battlefield 4 with your shiny new PlayStation 4, the experience might not be what you were hoping for. Server crashes and general online instability has kept the game’s rabid fans from enjoying the fields of battle, but thankfully, a fix is on its way. A member of DICE has taken to the Battle Log and revealed a new server is being added to the PS4 version of the game in order to fix “a very severe crash issue” on the console.
The new patch will likely boot a few people from their games, so it might be best to just stay offline for a while during the updating process. After the servers have been stabilized, Conquest mode will be next on the list.
“We are working on the conquest bug too and will release the patch for that when the fix is ready,” the developer’s post reads. “This fix will address a client crash, the second most common one at that. So hopefully you will notice less crashes when the servers have updated.”
It hasn’t been the smoothest launch for EA and DICE, but the team is working around the clock to make sure all of its fans have the best experience possible.
