Angry Birds Star Wars Lands Onto the PlayStation 4

November 15, 2013 by Ian Miles Cheong

The cult-classic mobile game has arrived onto the next-gen PlayStation 4 platform.

Angry Birds Star Wars

Activision has announced today that it is releasing Angry Birds Star Wars, the best-selling mobile game, onto the PlayStation 4. The game combines the action-strategy gameplay of Angry Birds with the iconic characters, themes, and aesthetic of Star Wars, and marks the franchise's debut onto next-gen gaming consoles.

The PS4  version of the game features over 200 levels from the original mobile version, as well as 20 console-only bonus stages, and brand new competitive and co-op multiplayer modes.

According to Activision, the PS4 edition of Angry Birds Star Wars utilizes the capabilities of the PS4 to great effect, allowing players to use a traditional analog stick to control the slingshot or even use the precision touchpad of the DualShock 4 controller. The PS4 version also allows use of the PS Move and makes full use of the console's automatic screenshot and video sharing functionality.

The game is however priced at a steep $49.99, especially considering how little it costs on the iPhone.
