Google Stadia is coming out soon and if you’re getting access at November 19, 2019, then you may want to get a heads up on what video game titles are worth purchasing. Whether you missed out on this generation of video game platforms or just looking to enjoy something new with the Google service, then we have the top rated games that are confirmed for the Google Stadia launch below.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

Assassin’s Creed latest installment is known as Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. The video game is set in 431 BCE where players will have the choice of being a mercenary that fights for Athens and the Delian League or the Peloponnesian League led by Sparta. Either way, players will be a descendant of Spartan King Leonidas I during the Peloponnesian War.

Much like the previous Assassin’s Creed installments, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will feature a modern day protagonist as well. Ubisoft will be reintroducing players to Layla Hassan who was present during Assassin’s Creed Origins.

Destiny 2: The Collection

The sequel to Destiny takes place after the events of Destiny: Rise of Iron. This title starts off with the Red Legion faction of the Cabal having attacked The Last City. Guardians are forced to flee and find new powers to face the Red Legion and bring order over The Last City once again. Just as before, there is new content being added to the game in order to extend narratives or competitive gameplay with other players.

Mortal Kombat 11

Do we really need to explain Mortal Kombat at this point? The franchise has been around since 1992 and its received installments over the years since. The latest installment being Mortal Kombat 11 which came out this year and it’s filled with a variety of fighters both old and new. The big appeal for this game is the vs mode as its still a 2.5D fighting video game full of brutal fatalities, easy to pull off move sets and again as mentioned a long list of characters you are likely familiar with such as Raiden, Sonya Blade, Liu Kang, Kitana, and Baraka to name a few. If this release is anything like the last installment to Mortal Kombat then we will likely find more familiar characters added into the roster from DLC launches.

Red Dead Redemption 2

Rockstar Games has crafted up a number of incredible pieces of work. Their beloved long-running series Grand Theft Auto, the single IP release of Bully, and of course their old western series, Red Dead Redemption just to name a few. Red Dead Redemption has a massive following and gamers all over the world have been waiting for a new installment.

Within Red Dead Redemption 2 players take the role of Arthur Morgan who finds himself on the run from the law with his fellow members of the Van der Linde gang. Outside of being another western adventure full of gun battles and forming your protagonist as a law abiding citizen or morally corrupt outlaw, the game also sets players on a massive open world. This open world environment will also feature a variety of landscapes, wildlife and interesting characters.

Rise of the Tomb Raider

Tomb Raider has been around for years since its release on the original PlayStation. However, developers Crystal Dynamics gave the video game title a proper reboot showing Lara Croft as a vulnerable young woman trapped alone on a hostile island during the 2013 release of Tomb Raider. Rise of the Tomb Raider tells the story of Lara Croft who has become labeled insane with the organization Trinity covering up the events that took place in Yamatai.

Now to prove she’s not insane, Lara Croft must make her way into the ancient city of Kitezh. What the city contains may prove to be something of use in order to prove to those who’ve doubted her. Unlike Tomb Raider, this latest installment has Lara Croft with a few well-tuned skills in which she can put to use.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition

When Tomb Raider received its big reboot back in 2013, the series received a massive revival with new and veteran players enjoying the latest big adventure featuring Lara Croft. In 2015, a sequel to Tomb Raider landed into the market and much like the reboot, Rise of the Tomb Raider was a big hit. Shadow of the Tomb Raider will be take place after the events of Rise of the Tomb Raider in which Lara Croft is off to find a Mayan relic that is connected to her late father. However, during the expedition, Lara accidentally sets off a Mayan apocalypse forcing her to save the world.

Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition

Tomb Raider has been around for years since its release on the original PlayStation. However, developers Crystal Dynamics gave the video game title a proper reboot showing Lara Croft as a vulnerable young woman trapped alone on a hostile island. It’s through this adventure title that Lara Croft becomes the famed tough Tomb Raider who must stop supernatural entities and opposing forces while using the element of surprise to her advantage. With this installment and the two others above, you can enjoy the full reboot trilogy of Tomb Raider right on Google Stadia when it launches.
