Halo: The Master Chief Collection Is Running Another PC Test Now

October 30, 2019 by Dennis Patrick

We’re inching our way closer to the full video game release.

We’ve known for quite a while now that the development team over at 343 Industries is bringing out the Halo: The Master Chief Collection onto the PC platform. Originally released as an Xbox One exclusive, Halo fans can now relive some of the past video game titles through a gaming PC, but it’s been uncertain just when this collection would launch. This is mainly because the development team needed more time to release a solid video game experience that wasn’t riddled with bugs or game crashes.

To get some needed feedback to the project, 343 Industries have been offering players a chance to enjoy a beta. Currently, we’re in the third beta test right now that brings on two campaign missions and a series of multiplayer game modes. With this test, the studio can make any necessary tweaks for the game before the market release.

For those that are part of the beta, the two new campaign missions are from Halo: Reach which are Noble Actual and Winter Contingency. Outside of that, you’ll get access to Firefight, along with a few social matchmaking game modes that will range from 2v2 to 8v8. Of course, this seems to be attached to the Halo: Reach video game installment in particular.

If you’re not familiar with the Halo: The Master Chief Collection, this is a collection of past Halo titles that’s been remastered. In the collection, you’ll receive Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, Halo 4, and lastly, Halo: Reach. Unfortunately, the PC platform release does not have a date attached to the game quite yet. With that said, you can pick up the collection for the Xbox One today.
