When it comes to Star Wars video game titles, one of the more anticipated releases is Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The video game has been in development from the studio Respawn Entertainment, but as it turns out, the studio was originally developing something unique and a brand new IP for EA. However, EA was so impressed by the work put into the game that they decided to turn it into a Star Wars title.
We don’t know just what was originally intended with the IP but apparently, two major components were demoed for EA. One was the Souls-like fights where there was an emphasis on using block and dodge techniques during combat. Likewise, there was a unique targeting system that was similar to The Legend of Zelda franchise. As a result, the game was then focused around a new narrative that is one of Star Wars.
While EA may not have had a great track record as of late for the Star Wars franchise, they do have the anticipated launch of Respawn Entertainment’s Jedi: Fallen Order. For those that are not aware of the game, it takes place after the events of Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. Players take on the role of a Padawan named Cal Kestis that manages to avoid execution.
With that said Cal slips and it’s revealed of his force-sensitive abilities leading to the Empire to track him down. Currently, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is slated to launch on November 15, 2019, for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms.
