PlayStation Now Brings In Three PlayStation 4 Exclusives But Only For A Limited Time

October 3, 2019 by Dennis Patrick

Exclusives are said to be available for three months.

This generation of platforms saw a big push to cloud gaming. With streaming services like PlayStation Now and the upcoming Google Stadia, the need for hardware is dwindling down whereas, with streaming services, all that is mainly required is a stable internet connection. Sony’s PlayStation Now is a cloud gaming streaming service that got its start back in 2014 where subscribers can gain access to select PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 video game titles on both the PC and PlayStation 4 platforms.

Recently, the PlayStation Now service was hit with a discount meaning that users are paying less to enjoy the service. As we reported on the matter earlier, the subscription prices have been changed to the following.

  • Monthly – $9.99 / Originally – $19.99
  • Quarterly – $24.99 / Originally – $44.99
  • Yearly – $59.99 / Originally – $99.99

It’s a nice discount for those who may have not tried the service out yet, but Sony is giving users another little incentive to pay for the subscription service. Starting right now, there will be four new video game titles added into the mix, three of which are PlayStation 4 exclusives. Those games are God of War, Grand Theft Auto V, Infamous: Second Son, and lastly, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.

According to the official blog post from Sony PlayStation, the four titles will be available until January 2, 2020. From there, a new selection of marquee games will be added into the mix on a regular basis. This would be a good deal for those that never adopted a PlayStation 4 console and at this point, it may be worth waiting for the next-generation console announcement.
