The latest numbers from JPR show a 28 percent decrease in the shipping volumes for NVIDIA's GPUs from last year, which is more than likely due to Intel's policy of producing CPUs with integrated GPUs.
Meanwhile, both Intel and AMD have posted gains, with AMD posting a growth of 15.4 percent and Intel posting a 9.4 percent growth.
Intel's licensing dispute with NVIDIA, which prevents NVIDIA from producing chipsets with integrated GPUs with Intel CPUs has hurt the company tremendously. NVIDIA has attempted to remedy its falling sales by implementing SLI capability into its AMD mainboards for an enthusiast market which is remarkably small.
NVIDIA may come to rely on the growth markets of ARM mobiles and HPCs in the future due to the cannibalization by integrated GPUs.
