Metal Gear Solid 5: Hideo Kojima Opens Up On Difficulty, Shares Game Over Screen

October 18, 2013 by Yesika Reyes

Hideo Kojima talks about the MGS V’s difficulty and teases the game over screen.

Hideo Kojima revealed in a video interview with IGN that Metal Gear Solid V's gameplay elements won't make it easier for players. In addition, he tweeted out a photo that teased the game's game over screen.

"When we turned MGS into an open world game, it turned out the player wound up in situations where they could be spotted from any direction, 360 degrees around them. Sometimes you wouldn't know where you were spotted from," Kojima mentioned. In the video, it was shown how players will be alerted if they are spotted from an angle. They are also given ample time to respond to avoid the repercussions of being caught.

"With the stress and tension levels that players will experience going through the game, I can guarantee that it's not going to make the game easier for anyone," he added.

If you find the game too difficult, you might encounter the game over screen. Kojima tweeted a glimpse of it on his Twitter account.
