Going into Tokyo Game Show it was known that Death Stranding was going to be featured quite heavily. In fact, we know that an over hours worth of content throughout TGS will be featured from the video game. Right now IGN has captured footage from the event which showcases the full 49 minutes of footage shown off so far from the game. However, the voice-over is all in Japanese so we don’t know exactly what is being said just yet.
Even if the voice over is in Japanese, we’re still being catered to new gameplay footage that shows off not only new locations but enemies and even some mechanics. There’s a lot of cryptic trailers and teases that went into this game, but since we’re moving towards its release date, the developer behind Death Stranding, Hideo Kojima, has been giving a better look at what the game is about.
Essentially, players will be connecting locations together though, in this world, there is a deeper connection that involves life and death.
Gameplay footage helps give an idea of what else players can expect and this shows some new elements off as well that we haven’t seen before. For instance, we get a look at how our main protagonist, Sam, will manage the equipment he carries with along with some combat against hostile enemies. For now, you can take a look at the TGS footage posted above along with a game gallery while we wait for the game release on PlayStation 4 this November 8, 2019.
