GTA 5 Stole His Music, Rapper Daz Dillinger Claims

October 11, 2013 by Ian Miles Cheong

Rap artist Daz Dillinger wants to be reimbursed for his music in Grand Theft Auto 5.

Daz Dillinger, former Dogg Pound member and rapper whose music appears in Rockstar's latest release, Grand Theft Auto 5, has issued a cease and desist order to the company after accusing them of using his music in the game without paying him.

Dillinger's tracks, "C-Walk" and "Nothin' but the Cavi Hit" are both featured in the game, despite Daz having turned down Rockstar's offer of $4,271.00 for both tracks—a paltry, lowball sum if ever there was one.

TMZ reports that the rapper is unhappy with the situation and is demanding that Rockstar either make him a better offer or recall and destroy all existing unsold copies of the game.

According to the publication, Daz says that the case is about "Respecting an artist's work. Rockstar didn't do that here and I can't let them get away with it."

Indeed.
