Host of New Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z Screens and Info Revealed

October 10, 2013 by Stephen Daly

Characters can now equip Ultimate Jewels for devastating Ultimate Attacks.

Namco Bandai has released a host of new Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z information and screenshots from the forthcoming game.

Entertainment Buddha reports that the first new feature revealed is the Ultimate Jewel, which is the rarest item in the game’s Collection store for each of the characters. When equipped Ultimate Jewels grant characters with an Ultimate Move that they can pull off for devastating effects.

Goku’s Ultimate Move will be his Spirit Bomb if he has an Ultimate Jewel equipped. Teen Gohan, Perfect Cell, and Full Power Frieza will also be able to perform Ultimate Moves in the game if their respective Jewels are secured.

The second feature detailed for the game is the extent of its customisation features. Players can tweak their characters by changing the colour of their costumes, as well as choosing which stats that they want to work on improving.

For a better idea of how Ultimate Powers and Jewels will work you can check out the screens in the gallery below and you can find out more about the game from these developer interviews. Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z is set for release in early 2014 on PS3, PS Vita, and Xbox 360.
