Two New Fairy Type Pokemon Revealed for X and Y

October 3, 2013 by Stephen Daly

Spritzee and Swirlix evolutions emerge.

Two new Fairy Type Pokemon have been revealed today for Pokemon X and Y – Aromatisse and Slurpuff; these Pokemon are the evolutions of  Spritzee and Swirlix respectively.

Aromatisse can give off a variety of different smells; including one odor so strong it can help turn the tide of a battle. It's listed as a Fragrance Pokemon and can use the Healer ability.

Slurpuff has a strong sense of smell which is apparently 100 million times more sensitive than that of humans. Some Slurpuffs are emplyed to assit pastry chefs and the Pokemon can use the Sweet Veil ability.

A gallery of the new Pokemon is included below courtesy of Nintendo Everything. Fairy Types are a new breed of Pokemon for X and Y – their inclusion brings to 18 the number of different Pokemon types to be found in the games.

Pokemon X and Y are set for release on October 12th worldwide on Nintendo 3DS.
