Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is one of the most anticipated video games releasing this year. Being developed by Infinity Ward, the video game installment to the franchise is said to be a reboot to the Modern Warfare series. One of the big aspects that Infinity Ward is hoping to deliver for fans is a deep narrative story. In the past, they’ve stated that their inspiration was the No Russian mission from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, a video game mission that was highly controversial as it involved the ability to gun down innocent civilians within an airport.
Rather than just trying to be a controversial title, it’s the emotional pull from this mission that the developers are likely hoping is brought over into this new installment. Currently, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is set to launch on October 25, 2019, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC platforms.
