Control PC System Requirements Are Pretty Hefty

July 16, 2019 by Dennis Patrick

Can your system handle it?

You probably remember Control, it’s a video game coming out from Remedy Entertainment the same developers who brought out the Max Payne series, Quantum Break and Alan Wake. The game has been shown off for a couple of years now and its soon gearing up for its official release this year. Here’s the problem, if you planned to pick the game up on the PC platform then you may want to double-check your hardware as the latest system requirements announcement may turn a few heads towards the console release.

Control is a supernatural action-adventure game which follows a secret government agency that is focused on studying odd phenomenons. This will be a single-player experience and will play out as a third-person shooter. Again, the problem for some people is that the game will require some hefty PC requirements especially if you want to play the game with intensive visuals.

Minimum System Requirements
  • CPU: i5-7500 3.4GHz / AMD Ryzen 3 1300X 3.5GHz
  • RAM: 8GB
  • GPU RAM: 6GB
  • GPU: GTX 1060 / RX 580
Recommended System Requirements
  • CPU: i5-8600 3.6GHz / AMD Ryzen 7 2700X 3.7GHz
  • RAM: 16GB
  • GPU RAM: 11GB
  • GPU: GTX 1080 Ti / Vega VII

As you can see, this will require a bit of a powerhouse PC to enjoy fully so if you haven’t made any upgrades in a while, Control may be out of the question. This may bring in plenty of concern on just how optimized the game is on the PC platform. However, for those who already meet the requirements then you shouldn’t have too much trouble with running the game at launch. Control will be releasing on August 27, 2019.
