Warner Bros. has just revealed Batman: Arkham Origins will be getting a season pass, giving you access to five DLC packs, as well as an additional story campaign.
For $ 19.99, you will also get the following:
Batman skins based on his appearances in the comic books Gotham by Gaslight and Brightest Day. These two are apparently exclusive to the Season Pass.
New Millenium and Infinite Earth Skins Packs, each of which have five Batman skins and one Robin skin. The Infinite Earths Skins come from alternate versions of Batman across the DC multiverse, while the New Millenium Skins are different interpretations of Batman in the DC continuity, reflecting changes to his costume through the years.
Arkham Origins Initiation. This is a new campaign where you play as Bruce Wayne before he became Batman. In this campaign, you are under the tutelage of your greatest mentor, Kirigi, and take his final challenge.
Finally, the pack comes with an all new story campaign, the details of which have yet to be revealed.
The Batman: Arkham Origins Season Pass will be available for Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Wii U, and PC. Notably, this is the first time Wii U is getting a Season Pass for any game.
The video game season pass is starting to pop up as the next gamer pet peeve. I personally don’t see anything wrong with it; exclusive skins don’t affect the actual game, and purchasing the DLC separately would cost you a cumulative $ 30, so you actually save $ 10 with the Season Pass. Ultimately, it’s another option to buy DLC, one that can actually save you money for a change.
