The Witcher Netflix Series Will Have A Panel At San Diego Comic-Con 2019

July 2, 2019 by Dennis Patrick

Could we finally see the first trailer footage release?

The Witcher was once a fantasy novel series that first started out in 1993 under the author Andrzej Sapkowski. This series grew a big following in Poland among other countries in Europe until video game development studio, CD Projekt Red, managed to get the rights to create a video game series. This lead to the franchise becoming a massive worldwide hit and instantly put the development studio on the map. With a total of three main installments and various expansions, we’re soon going to receive a television series through Netflix. This series recently wrapped up filming and it’s only a matter of time before we actually get some footage of the upcoming show.

Video game titles and cinematic films have not always had the best success within markets worldwide. However, being that this is a television series, the production team may have had enough time to fully flesh out the narrative story rather rush or cut large sections to fit an appropriate run time for a film. As mentioned, the filming recently came to an end and we’ve already seen some character photos from the upcoming series including actor Henry Cavill as Geralt. What we haven’t seen is a live action trailer which could come to the San Diego Comic-Con this year. Netflix is holding a panel for the series within Hall H on July 19. This will apparently be about an hour long panel that is supposedly starting at 2:15 PM and will last until 3 PM local time.

Nothing more has been unveiled at the moment though it’s likely we’ll see cast such as Henry Cavill take the stage and as I’m sure most fans are hoping for, a trailer for the upcoming series. What we’re not hoping for is a situation where the footage is shown exclusively to those attending Hall H but for now, all we can do is wait.
