The original Crash Team Racing [PS1] was packed with cheat codes, and many of those cheat codes carry over to Crash Team Racing [PS4] — not all of them, but enough! We’ve tested them all to see which ones still work on the remake by developer Beenox, and now that’s we’ve mostly whittled down the list, it’s time to share which cheat codes actually work in Crash Team Racing on PS4.
The codes are all classics, and some of them will disable trophies once they’re activated. You’ll have to resubmit each cheat every time you restart the game, and cheats are always reset whenever the game is closed. There’s no permanent trophy disabling going on here. This is strictly old-school cheat stuff. You’ll be able to unlock unlimited power-ups, unlock characters early, or change the way you race. To input cheat codes in Crash Team Racing, hold [L1+R1] and input the buttons / d-pad directions in the order listed below. Keep your selection marker over ‘Adventure’ when inputting codes.
WARNING: Certain codes will block you from earning trophies. A warning message will appear — any cheat codes that give you an advantage will lock out trophies. Cheat codes that unlock characters early won’t have the same effect.
All of these cheat codes are identical to the codes found in the original Crash Team Racing — but only a few of those codes work in the remake. To reset codes or start earning trophies again, restart the game.
