Pokemon Bank Will Have One Month Free Trial

Nintendo has revealed that they are putting out a one month trial for Pokemon Bank. This should be more than enough time for interested players in trying out all of its features, including moving Pokemon around from the old games to the new ones.

They have also explained that they are taking a page from MMO subscriptions with PokemonBank, and they will keep your data even if you stop paying for the service. Of course, to get access to your saved Pokemon again, you will have to pay for it again.

Of course, this is good news for Pokemon players, especially serious players who may not always afford paying for bank, or to be more specific, younger players.

However, now that we have a better idea of how Pokemon Bank works, it does raise a new set of questions. For example, what redress will fans have if their Pokemon Bank accounts get hacked and their Pokemon are stolen? I hate to bring this up, but we also have to wonder what will happen to a Pokemon Bank account when a Pokemon player passes away. Maybe Nintendo should consider treating Pokemon Bank accounts like real bank accounts? If they are serious about having this service available to pass to future generations of Pokemon players, they will need to consider and prepare solutions for all these undesirable scenarios, which are simply bound to come up.

Nintendo has yet to announce the price for the Pokemon Bank service in the US.
