Gears 5 was a game we knew would be coming into Microsoft’s E3 2019 press conference and with it we got the announcement of its official release date. Gamers can expect Gears 5 to release on September 10, 2019 but instead of giving players a trailer regarding the narrative or what players can expect, we were instead told that this summer more information would be unveiled. Of course we did get a new mode known as Escape which puts a group of players into a scenario where our protagonists need to go against a wave of enemies.
Overall, the Escape game mode puts a team of three players together as they infiltrate a hive. From there they must plant a bomb and attempt to escape while hordes of enemies begin their attack. There was even a brief character pack cameo that may offer the player to either take on the role of a Terminator or fight against them. Either way, we only have to wait a few short months before we can get our hands on a copy of the game.
Of course with all that said, we do know that the narrative of Gears 5 will follow the protagonist Kait Diaz as she attempts to find how her family and the locust are connected. Once again, Gears 5 will be launching on September 10, 2019, for the Xbox One and PC platforms.
