Halo: The Master Chief Collection PC Beta Delayed

April 30, 2019 by Dennis Patrick

Developing the collection is complex according to 343 Industries.

Halo is a massive franchise and is one of Microsoft’s exclusives they have readily available for their platforms. However, for PC gamers, they have been without the franchise for most of the main installments. That will soon change as 343 Industries have revealed that they will be launching the Halo: The Master Chief Collection soon for PC gamers. However, before it releases the development team is offering gamers a chance to try out the beta and help provide crucial feedback before it fully releases.

There’s not a ton of information on when the game will release. We know that 343 Industries plans on releasing this collection in parts rather than a full collection of titles right at the start. Starting off first is Halo: Reach which was supposedly going to see a beta launch for those selected to partake sometime this month. However, a new tweet reached out to fan from 343 Industries Community Director Brian Jarrard who stated that the collection is taking more time than expected.

Well this tweet didn’t age well. Hey, this project is complex, and being transparent means sometimes things change vs. what we originally hoped. Work continues but the first public flights are pushing out further than originally targeted. Will share more info soon! https://t.co/aSCB37ZxD2

Apparently developing the PC version of Halo: The Master Chief Collection is complex and takes time so the beta for Halo: Reach has been pushed back. We don’t know just when the beta will kick off or when we can even expect the Halo collection to even release though expectations are still within the 2019 year.

At any rate, gamers will have to wait a bit longer. For those unaware, Halo: The Master Chief Collection will provide gamers with an HD remaster of Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo: ODST, and Halo: Reach. This collection is currently available for the Xbox One platform.
