Game Informer verified some insider information from multiple (and supposedly reliable) sources that confirmed that Nintendo would be making its way into the modern era with the announcement of a new console at the upcoming E3.
The magazine reports that the HD system is set to contain more horsepower than competiting current generation consoles like the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3.
Nintendo refused to confirm or deny the rumor, stating simply that the company "does not comment on rumor or speculation."
