Mortal Kombat 11 Campaign Length Finally Revealed

March 12, 2019 by Dennis Patrick

Get over here!

The eleventh main installment to Mortal Kombat is coming out soon and if you’re looking to get a bit more information about how long it will take before you’ll actually complete the campaign, we have you covered. Thanks to a statement from NetherRealm Studios who spoke with GameReactor, we now know that the upcoming fighting title will only take players about eight hours to complete. This, however, may change depending on how well you handle yourself against the slew of AI opponents you’ll end up facing against.

Mortal Kombat 11 comes with a narrative campaign and it’s one that seems to be dealing with time manipulation. So far we know that a character named Kronika the Keeper of Time will be altering time and as a result, it will likely bring back old stages, fighters and even costumes from the long-running catalog of Mortal Kombat titles. As a result, we’re sure that there are plenty of fans of the franchise intrigued and wondering just where the narrative will take players. However, if you find that eight hours is not enough then you’ll still get all of the game modes you’re accustomed to playing from the franchise. This includes local versus modes with friends or jumping online and facing against other players all around the world.

Likewise, we expect DLC character packs will make a return, much like how NetherRealm Studios handled Mortal Kombat X. We don’t know just what characters will be jumping into the franchise, but Mortal Kombat X saw Jason Voorhees, Leatherface along with Alien. So perhaps a similar trend of horror-themed characters will be present but that’s purely speculation on our part.

Regardless, Mortal Kombat 11 is set to launch on April 23, 2019, for the PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
