Blackgate Prison has been overrun by the convicts and the criminals, outside of the hands of the law. Batman is the only one who can put a stop to their reign of terror, and he does so in the upcoming Batman: Arkham Origins spinoff, aptly titled Blackgate.
For the first time in the series, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate brings the Batman Arkham games to the handheld format for both the PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS systems.
Designed as a metroidvania, the games feature stealth gameplay, free-flow combat, and Batman's powerful gadgets. With 2.5-D graphics, a fully voiced narrative and a full-fledged, canonical storyline, players will be able to explore deep inside the bowels of the remote island penitentiary that plays an important role in the Arkham universe, and come to grips with the events of Arkham Origins.
Both Batman: Arkham Origins and Blackgate are set for release on Oct. 25, 2013.
