Elder Scrolls Online Players Can Expand Their Inventory

August 29, 2013 by Stephen Daly

Inventory size won’t be limitless however.

In a German language interview given by ZeniMax Online's Kai Schober at gamescom last week it was revealed that Elder Scrolls Online players will be able to expand their in-game inventories.

According to the interview the developers tried to make the interface of the inventory look like the one used in Skyrim with tabs for 'All' items, and icons for other categories.

There won't be any weight and it seems like 50 items will be the limit for starters. The system seems to use a fairly standard MMO solution.

While the inventory system is Skyrim-like, it has been adapted to an MMO model which means that while the amount of space you have to use isn't limitless, it can be expanded upon. It's hinted that you'll be able to expand your inventory through in-game shops rather than additional purchases on top of the game's $15 monthly subscription.

In another recent interview developer Matt Firor detailed provided a great amount of information on the game including elements such as leveling, Guilds, and fortresses.

The Elder Scrolls Online is set to be released in 2014 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. PS4 players will have early access to the game's beta.

You can watch the interview with Schober below but, as mentioned, it is in German.
