Eurogamer has asked Microsoft's Phil Spencer about the Crackdown game teased during the Xbox One's reveal event in May.
"It was one of my favourite games on Xbox 360," Spencer commented. "We did a really nice job on the first one. The second one, I wish we'd have given it more time to build out the complete game."
"We want to get the right team," he said. "We want to make sure we have the right creative mastermind behind the title.
"There was a nice UK sensibility to the way the game was developed. I think that's important to the franchise as well."
The first game was developed by Realtime Worlds which no longer exists and the second by Ruffian who denied involvement in Crackdown 3's development earlier this year so who exactly is heading up development is currently unknown.
Regardless, Spencer spoke extensively about how cloud can contribute to Crackdown 3 on Xbox One so we probably shouldn't expect an Xbox 360 version.
