Resident Evil 2 is one of the more anticipated video game titles so far this year. Gamers have been asking Capcom for years for the development studio to remake Resident Evil 2, much like how they released Resident Evil on current generation platforms. It took a bit of time since Capcom made the announcement of the Resident Evil 2 remake but we’re finally gearing up for the release this week. However, Capcom is still making new announcements regarding the game with the latest being a free DLC coming in the near future called The Ghost Survivors.
There are not too many details released so far in regards to Resident Evil 2’s The Ghost Survivors DLC quite yet but we do know that this will be a rogue style game mode. According to a livestream from Capcom, it appears that The Ghost Survivors will be a game mode which will feature a selection of characters such as Robert Kendo. Not all of the characters were announced and Capcom didn’t share too many details regarding as to what we can fully expect from the game mode outside of there being random elements tossed into the game.
Of course, there’s bound to be a few surprises that Capcom has tucked away. While the game mode is coming at some point, the development team has included free costumes which will turn Leon and Claire back to their old polygon characters. This will first be available to those who purchase a code when the game launches, however, if you wish to hold off then you will get these costumes free of charge on March 22, 2019.
At any rate, Resident Evil 2 is set to launch on January 25, 2019, for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One platforms.
