Capcom Announces Resident Evil 2 Remake One-Shot Demo, Available Starting January 11

January 8, 2019 by Jordan Biazzo

How are you planning on spending your 30-minute demo?

Capcom has announced this morning a new one-shot limited timed demo for their upcoming horror remake, Resident Evil 2.

The One-Shot demo will be available to download on January 11th for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC; the demo will stop being available to download on the 30th of January. Gamers and fans of the franchise will finally have their hands on the game in the comfort of their house, however, the catch is that the demo is only 30 minutes long. Once the timer is finished, your time with the demo is finished. Luckily you can die and restart, but once the time is gone, there is no way of getting it back.

In addition to the new demo, fans will also be treated to a new trailer for the game. Once completing the demo, regardless if you finish to the end or get stuck halfway through, everyone will be treated to a new trailer for Resident Evil 2 Remake.

Check out the official tweet down below, which comes showcasing new gameplay footage:

With the living dead shuffling about and even the supposedly safe Raccoon City Police Department, or R.P.D., being overrun by terrifying monsters, nowhere feels safe anymore. As rookie police officer Leon S. Kennedy, you’ll be setting foot into a reimagined R.P.D. station not only to seek shelter and figure out why none of your co-workers are calling you back, but also to find a way out of the nightmare that’s unfolding in front of you.

Leon’s welcoming party may have been cancelled, but your escape from the police station has just begun. Similar to the demo that we’ve had at various events since the game was first unveiled at E3 in 2018, you’ll be able to explore the R.P.D. as you like… but you’ll be on a time limit. Once those thirty minutes are up, so is your demo! Fortunately, you can continue if you die, or if you complete the mission objective. However, just like in real life, you can’t turn back the clock and you won’t be getting back the time you lost, so use what time you have wisely.

Resident Evil 2 Remake is set to release for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC later this month on January 25th. Are you excited for the upcoming Resident Evil game? Let us know in the comments below!
