Minecraft Player Recreating DayZ Chernarus Location

August 9, 2013 by Andrea Castellano

It will take over 5000 hours to recreate Chernarus in Minecraft.

User HunteR26RuS decided that playing DayZ and Minecraft individually didn't properly represent his enjoyment with both games. To blend both games, HunteR aims to create a 1:1 scale of the Chernarus location from DayZ in Minecraft.

The Minecraft creation recreates guns, vehicles and even medication all found in the original DayZ map. The 9000×9000 block map will also run in some servers so players can see for themselves the accuracy of the map creation.

With over 1000 hours put into recreating the map, HunteR estimates that it will take over 5000 hours fully complete the location.

HunteR's most recent video explores his work done so far. For more videos you can visit his YouTube channel.

For a gallery and more detailed explanation of the objects HunteR aims to recreate, you can read his entire post.
