Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is the latest installment in the long-running franchise from Ubisoft. Much like other big triple AAA video game franchises, Assassin’s Creed also featured a number of installments on a yearly release schedule. However, this time around, Ubisoft was taking a break and giving the series a bit of breathing room by skipping out in the 2019 annual launch but that also meant that their latest video game installment release was meant to hang around for quite some time. As mentioned, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is the latest installment and while it received positive reviews, a massive open world and plenty of replay value, there are other live events set to help keep the game supported for a while.
Outside of expansions, Ubisoft was offering live events known as Mercenaries. Similar to Hitman’s exclusive targets that would should up within the game for players to find and take out. The problem was when the event started only a small portion of gamers actually received the update which resulted in Ubisoft pulling the event and pushing back its launch to a later date. When that later date arrives, it was once again pushed back and now we’re getting word that Ubisoft is pushing back the feature altogether until they can fully figure out just what is going on.
Remember Damais the Indifferent? So far we’ve had no success in tracking him down, so, unfortunately, there won’t be a live event this week.
We’re working towards a solution to address an issue that prevents the mercenary live events from appearing as soon as we can. Stay tuned. pic.twitter.com/BHqEp1g3cb

When Ubisoft manages to figure out just how to get the full Mercenaries update to go live for everyone playing Assassin’s Creed Odyssey then they will begin the events once again. For now, it looks like you’ll have to roam around the open world a bit longer before something new appears. Currently, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the PC platforms.
