Battlefield 4 Multiplayer Trailer Takes on Shanghai

July 22, 2013 by Stephen Daly

Levolution, Commander Mode, blowing stuff up – it’s all here.

Battlefield 4's campaign see players head to Shanghai as the city is placed under martial law following the assassination of a leading Chinese politcal figure – something for which America is blamed meaning it won't be easy to fulfill your objective.

Naturally, multiplayer also allows you to visit the city and we see the team arrive by helicopter before deploying to the streets below. We get a good look at the game's destruction effects – particularly during the collapse of a skyscraper – tank combat as well as naval and aerial warfare all set to a rather annoying/awesome (depending on your taste in music) soundtrack.

Battlefield 4 supports 64 player online matches though DICE are rumoured to be experimenting with 70 players.

The game will be released on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on October 29th in North America and November 1st in Europe though the next-gen versions will probably arrive later in November. The game's PC specs were leaked today and you can check them out here.

The Xbox One version will receive exclusive, and timed-exclusive, DLC for Battlefield 4.
