A Thor game is set for release in the same week that the movie of the same name premieres in theaters on May 3. The game adaptation of Thor will be released on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Wii, 3DS and DS.
On the Xbox 360 and PS3, the game will be a third person action-adventure, putting players in the shoes of the Norse god as he battles to save Asgard, pulling heavily from Norse mythology and the comic setting alike.
Meanwhile, the Wii version of the game will share the same storyline, but with a more stylized look due to the technical limitations of Nintendo's aging console platform.
The DS version will be a 2D side-scrolling adventure with its own storyline. There's no word yet on which version the 3DS version of the game resembles.
With any luck, Thor the game will be more enjoyable than other game adaptations of popular movies to date.
