I don’t know about you, but when I saw the announcement conference for DOOM eternal I was on the edge of my seat hoping to get a glimpse of gameplay for the next iteration in the DOOM reboot. Unfortunately – Bethesda decided to opt out of showing any actual gameplay. While it could be for many reasons, none were given, so fans of the series could only wait patiently to see what ‘hell on earth’ would look like, literally.
Now it looks like we won’t have to wait that much longer. According to the official DOOM twitter, we only have to wait until August 11th to get a first look at the next game.
The reveal will be live-streamed during QuakeCon which occurs from August 9th to 12th.
1 month countdown begins…

DOOM Eternal looks like it’s going to be following the same aesthetic of the reboot, except on a bigger scale and with a bigger location. Bethesda and id Software are promising an even more powerful Doomslayer, twice as many demons as the original game, and “hell on earth”. Unfortunately, the trailer didn’t show off any gameplay – rather setting the scene for the upcoming game. Bethesda did go on record to state that we’ll have to wait until QuakeCon to see some more of the game, so for now, I guess this little piece of awesomeness will have to do.
