The Mario Kart 8 for Wii U announcement comes during the E3 Nintendo direct.
The newest Mario Kart will feature anti-gravity which enables racers to drive on walls and upside down. In addition to the anti-gravity each racer can glide in the air and drive underwater.
Mario Kart 8 will also feature the best online multiplayer offering in the franchise.
Mario Kart 8 will release in Spring 2014.
